Alliance Personnel is currently recruiting for one of our clients based in Birmingham City Centre.
The candidate will be working in the servicing department.
Your job role will include the following :
To process book orders by: affixing various labels, stickers, RFIDS etc. to products according to the product type and customer instructions; fitting plastic book covers (plastic sleeves or laminates) according to the product type and customer instructions; rebinding/reinforcing products where required.
To complete any additional post-processing functions required before products can be shipped, this will include (1) activating RFIDS using a computer program; (2) sorting products by delivery point.
To ensure the accuracy of earlier processes by matching goods, bar codes and stationery according to customer instructions – and to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
To pack products according to customer instructions ensuring that no damage occurs in transit and that high standards of presentation and customer care are maintained.
Manual dexterity is a must, so experience in the assembly of small components/piecework/working to targets and deadlines is essential.
A good understanding of English both spoken and written is needed as the staff work by referring to written customer specifications.
The work is of a routine and repetitive nature, but accuracy and attention to detail is vital – our work must be ‘right first time’ as errors cannot be rectified.
Working hours Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm with 30 min break
Clean and pleasant environment to work in. No safety shoes or hi viz vests required.
